Established in early 2021, Halo Civil Engineering was formed in response to the growing demand for high quality tier 3 civil contractors in Western Australia.

With over 30 years’ industry and tier 1 experience in Western Australia, Halo’s management has created a young and dynamic company priding itself on going above and beyond for its clients.

But who are Halo’s management or leadership team?

Meet our Director, Peter Breen

After more than 18 years of working on civil construction sites across Ireland and Western Australia, Peter decided to partner with Fiona Smith to create a Tier 3 Civil Engineering firm that focuses on quality, sustainability innovation and a family-first workforce.

Peter is a Civil Engineer with a MEng from Edinburgh Napier University and a BEng from Waterford Institute of Technology.

He has over 10 years experience within the construction industry in the role of Site Engineer, Project Engineer and Client Representative.

He has been Involved in projects such as; Ports, Highways, Utility services, Housing Developments, Bulk Earthworks, Mass concrete works and Industrial Development, through his various senior roles with NRW, Laing O’Rourke and ACCIONA Geotech.

Peter’s specialties lie in Construction and Engineering Project Management and General Building Engineering.

“I have a real passion for what I do and take pride in the way I do it,” says Peter.

“Through Halo Civil Engineering, I am excited to support, influence and inspire our industry to make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work, by creating a family-first workforce, going above and beyond (everytime), and implementing “green” engineering and construction.”

Say hello to our Operations Manager, Fiona Smith

Famous for her ability to listen, nurture and establish a super comfortable open door culture in the civil construction industry, Fiona Smith is Halo Civil Engineering’s Operations Manager.

As a project professional, Fiona has a strong career history delivering customer focused project, secretarial and administrative support across the mining, construction resources industries. Fiona has worked with some big names in the industry, including BGC, Laing O’Rourke, Broadspectrum and Veolia.

Fiona enjoys providing Senior Site Administration and Project Control, customer relations, finance and accounts administration, subcontractor management and recruitment and mobilisation.

“My goal with Halo Civil Engineering is to progress my career in a challenging business support opportunity that will enable me to contribute to a high performing, customer focused team,” commented Fiona.
